2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. food coloring
1 1/2 tsp. peppermint anise oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in sauce pan. Cook over medium heat; stirring very little to 300º. Blend in coloring and flavoring; green food coloring for peppermint and red food coloring for anise flavoring. Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan. While candy is still hot make creases with a sharp pointed knife to make squares. Repeat as it cools; let cool; turn out on a board. Tap sharply to loosen; break along creases. Makes 1 1/4 lbs.
