2 c. sugar
2 c. Crisco shortening
2 tsp vanilla
1 c. milk
8 eggs
4 T. baking powder
2 t. baking soda
2 t. salt
8 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat sugar and Crisco until fluffy. Add eggs- mix well. Mix in milk and vanilla.
Add baking powder, baking soda, and salt to 2 cups of flour. Sift. Mix well into egg mixture.
Add remaining 6 cups flour, mix well.
On floured board, lightly knead dough about 10 minutes. Pinch off small section, roll, and make into shapes (crescent, circles). Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes at 400º.
YOU CAN CUT RECIPE IN HALF.

Cousin Sandy and Joe brought these cookies every DeRosa (Prescott, AZ) Thanksgiving celebration. She would also bring her famous Caponata (marinated eggplant relish) that no one has ever been able to duplicate.
