8 parts brown sugar

1 part chili powder

3 parts kosher salt (if you use regular-2 parts)

1 part your seasonings (some combo of: garlic powder, cayenne, chipotle, black pepper, thyme, onion powder, paprika, whatever suits your fancy)

Mix well and keep in a dry place. Rub will keep for quite awhile and can be used on a lot of foods. Pork loin recipe in the Main Dishes - Pork section uses this rub.
