4 c. Milk - Scalded
10 slices White Bread (cubed)
2 tsp. Vanilla
4 Eggs
1¼ c. Sugar
3 tsp. Cinnamon
½ c. Raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Lay cubed bread in a greased 9x13" glass dish. Pour scalded milk over bread. Beat eggs, then fold in sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and raisins. Pour over bread. Place dish in a pan with 1 inch of hot water. Bake at 425º for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º; bake 1 additional hour.

Prepare Vanilla Dessert Sauce, found in the Topping category, (page 151). This sauce adds a final touch to this dessert.
