2 T. chopped onion
1 T. butter or margarine
1 can Campbells cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 c. dried cooked ham or turkey
3 c. cooked spaghetti or shell noodles (1/2 lb.)
2 T. chopped parsley
2 T. chopped pimmento

In saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender. Blend in soup, water, cheese. Heat untill cheese melts, stir often. Add remaining ingredients. Heat through. Stir now & then. Bake.

Mom had instructions in the margin of the page to make 4 times the recipe to feed up to 12 people. So she not only fed us, but she would bring this casserole to pot lucks and square dance shin digs. The ending of the recipe left me hanging a bit. I remember that she would make this dish using leftover Thanksgiving turkey or holiday ham, and I think she poured everything into a buttered casserole dish to heat through and set. Thus the direction to "bake" that was most likely carried out at 350 for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.
