2 cups sliced okra
2 cup flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup cornmeal
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Slice okra and place in a bowl. In s separate bowl pour in 1 cup of flour, in another bowl pour in 1 cup of buttermilk and set the bowls aside. In an additional bowl combine cornmeal and the remaining cup of flour. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Dip okra slices in the flour, then buttermilk, then the cornmeal mixture. Fry in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes until browned.
