5-6 pound beef brisket
1 package dry onion soup mix
1-2 onions sliced thin
1 bottle chili or BBQ sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Place brisket in roasting pan fat side up on sliced raw onions. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix on top. Pour bottle of chili or BBQ sauce over brisket. Add about 1/2 inch water to pan. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and roast at 350º for 3-3.5 hours (for smaller briskets 3-4 pounds, roast for about 2.5-3 hours).

This is our traditional meat dish for the Jewish holidays. It's delicious served with Aunt Barbara's rice/noodle casserole (in the casserole section). It also makes wonderful meat for BBQ.
