Ingredients:  
2 eggs-beaten,
1 1/4 cups sugar,
1 teaspoon vanilla,
2 teaspoons melted butter,
1 teaspoon salt,
1/8 teaspoon ginger,
1 cup minus 1 tablespoon butter or sour milk,
3 squares chocolate,
3 to 31/2 cups flour,
1 teaspoon baking soda,
oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate squares.
Beat well.
Add vanilla,butter, salt and ginger.
Dissolve baking soda in the buttermilk.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add flour starting with 3 cups - add more if needed.
Add chocolate last.
Chill at least 1 hour.
Roll out on floured board.
Cut with doughnut cutter.
Fry in hot oil
