2 cups sugar
4T.cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 stick margarine
1T. Karo

Boil 2 minutes
Remove from heat and add

1/2 cup peanut butter
21/2 cup uncooked oatmeal
1/4 cup nuts (optional)

Drop with spoon onto wax paper. Let cool and eat.

Mrs. Mayhan will have been teaching 43 years at the end to this school year. She has always taught 1st. grade.She has served as Elementary principal and continues to this day to keep student records updated. She has taught many students in her lifetime and taught their children and now grandchildren. She not only taught but raised 4 Alumni's at CA. Paula Mayhan Maddox, Wayne Mayhan, Teena Mayhan Ruth and James Mayhan.She was very involved with each of their classes while they were at the academy. Her love of teaching and belief in Calhoun Academy has played a tremendous role in education and Christian growth of each child she taught.
