Ingredients:
Ingredients:
10 cups flour
2 lb lard
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix with pastry blender until crumbly. Pack solidly into plastic container with a good lid. (I use an ice cream bucket.)
When you need to make pastry, scrape out enough for one (or two) crusts. Add enough ice water until the dough sticks together when stirred with a fork. Roll out as usual.
Store in cupboard. Never goes stale!

I use this recipe to make many pies at a time, then freeze them unbaked.

Remove pie from freezer, brush top with cream or milk, sprinkle with sugar. Cover edges with foil so they don’t burn. Bake @ 425 F for 20 minutes then @ 350 F for 75 minutes.
