2 lbs. carrots (cut julienne style in 2" strips)
1 t. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 t. ground cardamom
1 t. grated orange peel

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to boil carrots and salt in one inch of water in saucepan. Simmer 7 to 9 minutes. Drain. In large skillet, combine the rest of the ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Add carrots. Toss to coat.

If the sauce slides off the carrots, you've overcooked the sauce. You will want to cook it less the next time you make it! The cardamom adds a new twist to carrots.
