12 lg. cucumbers
6 med. onions
1/2 c. pickling salt
1 qt. vinegar
2 c. brown sugar
1 T. dry mustard
1 T. turmeric
1 T. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Wash, peel and slice cucumbers. Peel and slice onions. Place in a large pot, cover with water, add salt and let stand overnight. Next day: combine vinegar and sugar, bring to a boil. Mix mustard, turmeric and cornstarch in a little cold vinegar. Add this to sugar and vinegar. Drain the cukes and onions. Pour in the vinegar solution and bring to a boil. Pack in sterilized jars and seal.
