7 ripe or green cucumbers
3 1/2 c. sugar
1 pt. vinegar
1/2 tsp. oil of cloves
1/2 tsp. oil of cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Peel cucumbers and cut into one-inch cubes. Place in a pot and cover with hot water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender--do not over cook. Drain. Combine sugar, vinegar and spiced oils. Bring to a boil, pour over cucumbers and let stand overnight. Next morning drain off syrup, bring to a boil again and pour back over cucumbers and let stand another night. On the third morning, drain and boil syrup again. Pour back over cucumbers and seal in sterilized jars.
