2 cups sugar
4 egg yolks
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 cup crisco
1/2 cup butter milk
1/2 cup hot water
4 egg whites
1 pkg. German sweet chocolate

Frosting:
6 egg yolks
2 cups sugar
1 tall can pet milk
2 T. butter
1 can coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cake: Cream sugar, crisco, egg yolks. Add flour, buttermilk and soda. Dissolve chocolate in hot water. Add chocolate and water gradually. Add egg whites (folding in slowly). Bake 350º until cake tests done.
Frosting: Mix together egg yolks, sugar, milk, butter. Cook until thick, then add coconut and chopped pecans Let cool and spread on cake.
