3 large potatoes, peeled and diced
1 onion coarsely chopped
2 tsp salt
2 c milk
1 tsp each, celery seed and pepper
3 T butter
Dumplings: 2 eggs and enough flour to make sticky

Directions:
Directions:
Put potatoes, onions and salt in saucepan. Add 1 1/2 c water. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for abouot 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Add milk and bring almost to a boil and add the next three ingredients.
Drop the dumplings by 1/2 tsp into the soup and simmer for about 10 minutes.
