Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup meat drippings (you can skip if not on hand)
1/4 cup flour or cornstarch
3 cups broth (can use chicken, beef, or even veggie)
bouillon granules
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Heat meat drippings in saucepan until warmed through. Warm broth in microwave (should be very warm, but not yet boiling).

I use a large 4 cup measuring cup for this next step, but you can also use a bowl. Put cornstarch in bottom. Slowly pour broth over cornstarch, whisking to remove any lumps. Pour into saucepan with drippings, stir well as gravy thickens.

I always estimate the ingredients, so here are some additional tips:

If the gravy is too thick, add water, broth, or milk to desired consistency. If too thin, add a mixture of 2 tsp. cornstarch to 2 tsp. water mixture (should be a paste to avoid lumps) to gravy to thicken.

To make the gravy more flavorful, try using bouillon granules. Add 1 tsp. at a time until desired flavor is achieved. Add pepper.
