Ingredients: 1 CUP WATER 1/2 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE 1 CUP FLOUR 4 EGGS VANILLA CREAM PUDDING

Directions:HEAT OVEN TO 400º. HEAT WATER AND BUTTER TO ROLLING BOIL. STIR IN FLOUR. STIR VIGOROUSLY OVER LOW HEAT ABOUT 1 MINUTE OR UNTIL MIXTURE FORMS A BALL. REMOVE FROM HEAT. BEAT IN EGGS, ALL AT ONE TIME; CONTINUE BEATING UNTIL SMOOTH. DROP DOUGH BY SCANT 1/4 CUPFULS 3 INCHES APART ONTO AN UNGREASED BAKING SHEET.
BAKE 35 TO 40 MINUTES OR UNTIL PUFFED AND GOLDEN. COOL AWAY FROM DRAFT. CUT OFF TOPS. PULL OUT ANY FILAMENTS OF SOFT DOUGH. CAREFULLY FILL PUFFS WITH VANILLA PUDDING. REPLACE TOPS; DUST WITH CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR. REFRIGERATE UNTIL SERVING TIME. POUR CHOCOLATE SAUCE OVER CREAM PUFFS, IF DESIRED.
VANILLA CREAM PUDDING
USE 1 LARGE BOX JELLO BRAND INSTANT VANILLA PUDDING. LOOK AT DIRECTIONS ON THE BOX AND SUBSTITUTE INGREDIENTS AS FOLLOWS: MEASURE HALF THE AMOUNT OF MILK AND SET ASIDE. THEN ADD TO DRY PUDDING MIX THE WHIPPING CREAM IN THE AMOUNT THAT IS EQUAL TO THE AMOUNT OF MILK THE DIRECTIONS CALL FOR. WHIP UNTIL MIXED AND ADD THE MILK. THEN BEAT THE MIXTURE A COUPLE MINUTES-IT WILL THICKEN AND SET UP AS IT SETS. |
