Ingredients: Filling: 5 c. Berries (Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Strawberries, Cherries, etc. Frozen or Fresh) 1/2 c. Sugar 2 T. Cornstarch (1 T. when using fresh berries) 1 Prepared Pie Shell Pinch of Salt.
Crumb Topping: 1 c. Rolled Oats 3/4 c. All Purpose Flour 1/2 c. Sugar 2 tsp. Cinnamon 1/2 tsp. Ginger 1/2 tsp. Allspice 1/2 c. Butter

Directions:Preheat oven to 375º.
Filling: Mix dry ingredients, add berries and toss until well mixed. Add to crust and set aside. Crumb Topping: Combine all ingredients then use a pastry blender (or spoon) to rub butter into the dry ingredients until it forms crumbles. It is often easier when the butter is melted in the microwave until soft. Top the berries with the crumb topping mixture, patting it on to make it stay. Place pie on a rimmed baking sheet. Cook for 45-50 minutes.
**To keep the pie crust edges from overcooking, place a layer of aluminum foil under the pie and fold it over just the edges for the first 20 minutes of cook time. |

Notes: This pie is easy and is always a big hit, year round. The original recipe called for more sugar in the filling but in order to justify my cravings I had to make it a little healthier.
