5 medium onions, thinly sliced
1/4 c. butter or margarine
3-4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch strips
3 eggs
1/2 c. whipping cream
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. caraway seed, optional
1 pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º. Line 10 inch pie pan with pie crust. In large skillet, cook onions in butter over medium heat stirring occasionally until soft and slightly browned, this will take 15-20 minutes. While cooking onions, sauté bacon until lightly brown. Remove from pan, drain well and cool. Beat eggs and salt with cream. Spread onions in pie crust, sprinkle with bacon. Pour egg mixture over onions and bacon. Sprinkle with caraway seeds. Bake at 450º for 15 minutes then reduce temperature to 350º and bake for 15 minutes longer or until lightly brown. Serve Hot.
