1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. butter or margarine
8 c. bread cubes
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 c. chicken broth
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onion and celery in butter or margarine until tender. Cube fresh bread and place in a large mixing bowl. Pour sautéed vegetables over bread cubes. Add slightly beaten egg and seasonings to taste. Moisten bread cubes with broth and toss lightly. Pack mixture in crock pot. Dressing will expand. Cover and set on high for 1 hour. Turn setting to low and cook for another 1/2 hour or so. Stir lightly as needed but remember heat will escape.
