2 onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 c. margarine or butter
2 ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded, & chopped
1 crab, quartered
1 lb. 2 oz. shrimp
9 oz. mussels
1 lb. 2 oz. clams
1 red chili pepper, chopped
1 tbsp. salt
Pinch of ground pepper
2 T. tomato paste
Schant 1/2 c. white wine
1 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 1/2 c. rice
2 1/4 c. water
1 bunch cilantro, chopped

Directions:
Cook the onions with the garlic in margarine or butter in a large but shallow pot until golden. Add the tomatoes to the onions. Add the crab and shrimp. Season with chopped chili pepper, paprika, salt and pepper, then add the tomato paste and white wine. Let simmer for about 10 minutes, then add the bell pepper and rice. Boil the water and add it to the other ingredients, correcting the seasoning if necessary; cook for another 8 minutes. Finally, add the mussels and clams, then place the lid on the pot. Simmer for about 5-10 minutes or until the clams open (discarding any that remain closed). Sprinkle the cilantro and serve.
