Pastry:
1/2 lb. Butter
1/2 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Brown sugar
1 Egg
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
2 c. Flour

Filling:
1 lb. Almond paste
3/4 c. Sugar
3 Eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Pastry: Mix butter and sugars. Separate egg and set aside the egg white. Add egg yolk, baking soda and flour to the butter/sugar mixture. Mix well. Put half of mixture into an ungreased 9x13-inch pan. Pat down.

Filling: Mix all ingredients together and spread over pastry in pan. Cover with remaining pastry. Beat egg white slightly and brush over top.

Bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes.
