1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. jell-o chocolate flavor instant pudding & pie filling
1 can(21 oz.) cherry pie filling drained
1 square semi- sweet baking chocolate grated

pre heat oven 350º prepare cake batter as directed on box. add dry pudding mix untill well blended pour evenly into 2 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
bake 30 min. or untill done.cool completely cool on wire rack.
reserve 1/2 each of cherry pie filling and whipped topping for garnish
spoon remaining cherry mixture evenly over one of the cake layers and then add 1 cup of the whip cream on the cherry mixture top with second layer of cake. spread 1 1/2 cups of the remaining whipped topping on top and sides of cake. top with dollop of the remaining whip topping . garnish with reserved cherry mixture and grated cholocate.
refrigerate until ready to serve.store left over cake in fridge.

i made this for Sierra and Shelby's b-day be sure and use cool whip that is in the tub, i made my own whip topping and couldn't get it to whip stiff enough and the cherries ran off the side, it was still good a little messy, just another memory of a Birthday!
