1 egg - beaten,
2 tablespoons sugar,
1 cup molasses,
1 cup sour milk,
1 teaspoon cold shortening,
1 scant teaspoon baking powder, salt,
cassia or cinnamon,
flour

Directions:
Directions:
Add the 2 tablespoons sugar in cup with molasses.
Add to beaten egg.
Add remaining ingredients, and enough flour to make a soft dough.
Let sit overnight or 24 hours.
