1 cup brown sugar - packed,
1 cup white sugar,
1 cup peanut butter,
1 cup butter or shortening,
2 eggs - well beaten,
1 teaspoon vanilla,
3 cups flour,
2 teaspoons baking soda,
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven 350 - 375º
Cream shortening and sugars together.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Mix flour, soda, and salt.
Add to creamed mixture - stir well.
Roll into balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Press down with fork to make criss - cross pattern
Bake 10 to 12 minutes
