Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 to 4 pound boneless bottom round or chuck roast
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 (12 oz.) can of Coke

Directions:
Directions:
Place roast in a large crock pot. Sprinkle onion soup mix on top. Pour Coke over roast. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. The longer you cook it, the more tender it will be. Pull apart with fork for sandwiches or cut into individual servings.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This hardly qualifies as a "recipe", but the butcher at our local meat market even recommends it! You don't taste the Coke and it is the secret ingredient for tenderizing the meat (no wonder I get a stomach ache when I drink too much Coke). You can buy inexpensive cuts of meat and they turn out tender and juicy. Pull it apart with a fork for sandwiches or cut into individual portions and serve with potatoes and veggies.
