48 Hershey Kisses
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter (I like Peter Pan)
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
2 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Beat the shortening & peanut butter until well blended
Add 1/3 cup sugar & brown sugar & beat until fluffy
Add egg, milk & vanilla & beat well
Whisk together the flour, baking soda & salt
Gradually beat into peanut butter mixture
Shape dough into 1" balls
Roll in sugar & place on an ungreased cookie sheet
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned
Immediately press a kiss into center of each cookie
Cookie will crack around the edges
Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack to cool
