1 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

Cook the raisins and the 1 cup of water together until 5 tablespoons of liquid remains. Drain and reserve liquid and cool.

Cream together Crisco, eggs and the sugar. Stir in the cooled. reserved raisin liquid and the vanilla.

Mix together the flour, salt and baking soda and add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Add the oatmeal and the raisins.

Bake for 10-12 minutes
