1 (28oz) can or box crushed tomatoes
1lb spaghetti
1/2 C extra virgin olive oil
6 cloves of garlic, sliced
6 basil leaves, chopped
1 T salt
Grated Italian cheese to taste

Directions:
Directions:
In large sauce pan over medium heat, cook oil with garlic until light brown. Add tomatoes, then a bit of water from empty can to ensure all tomatoes are used. Add basil and bring to boil while stirring. Adjust heat to simmer for 15 min, covered. While sauce is cooking, boil large pot of water with salt and cook spaghetti, (or other long pasta), 'al dente'. Strain pasta, reserving about 1 C of water for sauce. Add salted water to sauce and spoon over spaghetti. Garnish with a few basil leaves. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
