Ingredients: 1 large (16 oz.) Pepperidge Farm Cornbread Dressing mix 3/4 stick butter (or low fat butter substitute) 1 c. onions, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 2 1/2 c. Swanson’s Chicken Broth 1/4 c. parsley, chopped pepper, to taste

Directions:Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onions & celery until soft or about 4-5 minutes. Add chicken broth & let warm. Remove from heat. Add parsley & pepper. Add stuffing to sauce pan & lightly toss with a fork. Loosely spoon stuffing into a buttered casserole dish. Bake 350° for 30-45 minutes. Cover casserole for moister dressing. Leave uncovered for crunchier dressing. Also for a more moist dressing, increase the amount of broth by 1-2 tbsp. a serving. Optional: 1 c. chestnuts OR ½ c. crumbled cooked bacon OR ½ c. chopped dried cherries. |
