5 c. all purpose flour
4 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. lard
2 egg yolks or 1 whole egg
cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add lard and use a pastry cutter or 2 knives cut in lard until you have coarse crumbs. Add egg yolks or whole egg to a 1 cup measure and finish filling with cold water. Add to flour mix and stir until pastry almost cleans side of bowl.

Extra pie crusts may be frozen for future use.
This recipe may also be used to make pie dough cookies. Divide dough into thirds, sprinkle with water or melted margarine add sugar cinnamon mix roll up and slice into pinwheels. Bake at 350º until lightly browned.
