Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Bread dough
Hot oil for frying
Pizza sauce
Favorite Pizza Toppings:
sausage
hamburger
mushrooms
black olives
mozzarella

Directions:
Directions:
Make a ball with the bread dough, and flatten to make a 5" in diameter pad. Be sure to leave an edge to hold in pizza sauce. Drop the dough into the skillet with hot oil. As it bubbles, turn over carefully. Then remove from the pan to a paper towel to drain.

Add your favorite sauce (make your own homemade sauce, or a jar of spaghetti sauce works well too). Add your pizza toppings, and lots of your favorite cheese, especially mozzarella. Very Filling.

Note: I have used vegetable oil or canola oil to fry it in. You can also cook pizzas early in day & heat in oven before serving - and THEN add sauce, toppings, and cheese.

We all (Mom, Todd, Frank, Judy, Linda, and Suzie make our own versions and LOVE it)

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
In 1955, the kids' dad, my sister Polly, George, and I, were invited to a neighbor's house for a REAL Italian dinner. We started out with wonderful spaghetti with huge meatballs, sausages, and garlic toast. The hostess didn't sit down but kept refilling our plates. then we were told to sit in the living room while she made "the pizzas". These pizzas were so wonderful, that they've remained a favorite recipe in our family since.
