1/2 cup shortening,
1 cup sugar,
1 egg,
2 cups flour,
1 teaspoon cinnamon,
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or sour milk,
1/2 teaspoon baking soda,
3 tablespoons molasses,
1 cup blueberries

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add egg.
Sift together - flour, cinnamon,ginger, and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add milk mixed with a 1/2 teaspoon soda.
Add molasses.
Fold in blueberries.
Put batter in 9x9 pan.
Sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes in a 350º oven
