Spicy Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

1 c. raisins
2/3 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour, sifted
2 1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats

Cream together sugar & shortening until fluffy. Stir in eggs, milk, vanilla & raisins. Sift flour, soda, salt, powder & spices. Combine with oats. Stir into creamy mix. Drop onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
