1 3/4 cups all purpose flour or 2 cups cake flour,
2 1/2 tsp double acting baking soda,
1 tablespoon sugar,
1 1/4 teaspoon salt,
1/4 cup butter,
3/4 cup milk or cream

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour before measuring.
Resift flour with baking soda,sugar and salt.
Cut in butter.
Add milk
Stir lightly into flour mixture using a fork.
Turn dough onto floured board, knead lightly for 1 minute.
Pat to 1/4 inch thick.
Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake 10 - 12 minutes in a preheated 450º oven
