1 bag green or yellow peas
Soak beans overnight after rinsing.
Ham bone Garlic
Celery Parsley
Onions Bay leaves
Potatoes Salt & Pepper
Carrots Ham Base

Directions:
Directions:
Use green or yellow peas. Start with a meaty ham bone or chop leftover ham. Put both in a large soup pot. Chop all the vegs. Add all spices etc... Add water to cover. If you have ham juice, throw that in as well. Cook all together for 3 hours until peas are tender.

Making soup is a good time to clean out the fridge. You can throw in any vegs., leftover spuds etc. that you may have. If soup is too runny, add rice or pasta to thicken. Start with a nice big pot. Freezes well.
