Ingredients:  
1 3/4 cups flour,
1 teaspoon baking powder,
1/2 teaspoon salt,
1 teaspoon baking soda,
1 1/4 cups sugar,
2 eggs,
1/2 cup shortening (room temp),
1 teaspoon vanilla,
6 tablespoons molasses,
2 cups quick cook rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour,baking powder, baking soda,salt, and sugar into a large bowl.
Drop eggs, shortening, molasses and vanilla into bowl.
Stir until smooth.
Fold in oatmeal.
Drop by heaping teaspoon about 4 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 325º for 12 to 15 minutes.

To change the flavor add any of the following
1 cup seedless raisin, 3/4 cup coconut, 3/4 cups chopped dates or anything else you want
