2-3 lbs lean ground beef
1 pkg Lawry© Instant Spaghetti Sauce Mix
1/2 stick butter, chopped
3 - 8 oz cans Cajun shopped stewed tomatoes
3 - 8 oz cans tomato sauce
1 - 8 oz can tomato paste
8 to 16 oz fresh diced or sliced mushrooms
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 cup red or white wine
4 Italian sausage, chopped and precooked (2 hot, 2 sweet)
Spices to start with and adjust to your taste as required:
1/2 tsp oregano; 1 tsp black pepper; 3-6 dashes of Tabasco; 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning; 1/2 tsp garlic salt
(Remember, it is easy to add heat, but hard to remove it)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat and drain; put into large pot and add all remaining ingredients. To thin to desired consistency, add wine or water; to thicken, add another can of tomato paste.

Simmer on low temperature for 2 to 4 hours, covered.

Clear the palate with a shot of Jim Beam or Maker's Mark bourbon to sample.
