1 1/2 lb. chicken (any cut can be used)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cornstarch
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. water
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. chicken broth
1/4 c. ketchup
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
oil for frying chicken

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. Mix in bowl: garlic salt, flour and cornstarch.
3. Mix in another bowl: eggs and water
4. Heat in a saucepan: brown sugar, broth, ketchup, soy sauce and salt.
5. Dip chicken in eggs, then into flour/cornstarch mixture. Fry in a pan with 1 T. oil for 5 minutes on each side.
6. Place chicken in a casserole dish and pour sauce over the top. Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes. Flip over and bake another 20 minutes or until done.

Serve with rice. I often double the sauce so that there is plenty to go over the rice.
