3/4 c. Hershey's Cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. butter or margarine melted & divided
1/2 c. cup boiling water
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1-1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/3 c. (8-oz.pkg) York Mini Peppermint Patties


1. 1. Heat oven to 350 F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan
2. Stir together cocoa & baking soda in large bowl;stir in 1/3 cup butter.Add boiling water;stir until mixture thickens. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3cup butter; stir until smooth. Add flour,vanilla,and salt;blend completely. Stir in peppermint patties. spread in prepared pan.
3. Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan, cool completely in pain in pan on wire rack. cut into bars.
makes 36 brownies
