1/3 C. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake Mix
3/4 C. butter, melted
1 C. chopped nuts
1 - 6 oz. package of chocolate chips
1/3 C. evaporated milk
1 bag of caramels

Directions:
Directions:
In heavy saucepan, combine caramels and 1/3 C. milk. Cook on low heat, stirring until caramels melt. Set aside. Grease and flour 9 x 13 pan. In large mixing bowl combine dry cake mix, butter 1/3 C. evaporated milk and nuts. Mix by hand until dough holds. Press 1/2 of dough in pan, reserving remaining dough for topping. Bake @ 350º for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over, spread caramel mixture over chips and put rest of dough over caramels. Return to oven and bake 18-20 minutes. Cool before cutting.
