6 tbsp. butter, 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 1/2 c. honey, 1/2 c. fresh thyme, 4 red onions (halved), salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
preheat oven to 350.

Combine butter, vinegar, honey, thyme, salt and pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 minute. reduce slightly. Place the onions, cut sides up, in a single layer on a baking pan. Drizzle butter, vinegar mixture over the onions and roast until soft and slightly caramelized, about 45 minutes.
