2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
2 Tbsp. snipped fresh parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried sage, basil or oregano
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/4 c. ketchup
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard

Directions:

In a bowl, combine eggs and milk; stir in bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, sage, and 1/8 tsp. black pepper. Add meat; mix well. Lightly pat mixture into an 8 x 4 x 2 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Spoon off fat. In a bowl, combine ketchup, sugar, and mustard; spread over meat. Bake for 10 more minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
