Slice into bowl 2 large or 3 small bananas. Mash with a mixer at medium speed. In large bowl, combine 1 ¾ cup flour; 2 tsp. baking powder; ¼ tsp. baking soda; ½ tsp salt, and 2/3 cup sugar. Add 1 cup butter, 2 eggs, ½ cup walnuts chopped fine, and 1 cup of the mashed bananas. Beat on medium speed until all ingredients are well-blended. Scrape bowl while beating. Pour batter into greased bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees about one hour.
