Cut one half inch slices from 1.5 lbs of filet of beef. cut into strips one inch wide. Saute onions in a pan with 1 tbsp butter for 2 minutes. Saute the beef with the onions and turn to brown for 5 minutes. Remove and keep hot, Add to pan 2 tbslp of butter and 3/4 lb of sliced mushrooms,season with salt and pepper and a grating of nutmeg ( 1/2 tsp basil) do not boil.Add 1/4 c white wine and 1 c. sour cream. Serve with egg noodles.
