1.25 lbs. ground chuck, drained
1 (24 oz.) jar Prego traditional
8 lasagna noodles
2 cups Mozzarella cheese
2 cups Cheddar Jack cheese
Italian seasoning
sugar
crushed red pepper
salt, pepper, garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground chuck; drain. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In Dutch oven, add Prego and browned chuck. Season to taste with Italian seasoning, sugar, and crushed red pepper. Simmer slowly for 1 1/2 hours. Boil lasagna noodles and drain. In a separate bowl, combine cheeses and toss with a little Italian seasoning. Layer in 9x13 pan: little sauce on bottom, 4 noodles, 1/2 sauce, 1/2 cheese mixture, and repeat. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

This has become a family favorite over the years. I got this recipe when the girls were little because they would not eat lasagna with cottage or ricotta cheese and have been making it ever since. All of the girls’ friends have loved it and still ask for it!
