1 green pepper, chopped

Directions:
Mix all ingredients except meat and torts. Spread a little of the sauce mixture on the bottom of a greased Pyrex dish. Then layer torts, meat, and sauce mixture. Bake 45 minutes at 375 degrees. This dish is even better reheated and very good served with Louisiana Hot Sauce.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
King Ranch Casserole is normally made with chicken; imagine that!! Mama told us that Daddy Vernon always provided her with a freezer of beef, so she regularly made it with hamburger, and I've never made it any other way.
