Wash peas and put in boiling water. Bring to a boil again and boil for 5 minutes. Pour off hot water and rinse with cold tap water. Put peas in ice water for quick cool. When cool, package peas in freezer bags, label with date, and FREEZE QUICKLY.

Parker, you may be the only one that will actually use this information. I hope I am wrong, girls! I spent many summer afternoons shelling peas and blanching them with Mama Polly...fond memories!!
