1 1/2 C Sugar
2 Eggs
1/4 C Cocoa
2 oz Red Food Coloring
1 t Salt
1 t Vanilla
1 C Buttermilk
1 1/2 t White Vinegar
1 t Baking Soda
2 T Apple Sauce

Cream Cheese Frosting

16 oz Cream Cheese
1/2 C Butter
2 C Powdered Sugar
1 t Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter,sugar,and eggs.Combine cocoa and food coloring.Add
to butter mixture,mix well Combine vanilla and buttermilk. Combine
flour and salt. Alternate adding buttermilk, then flour,mixing well
each time.Combine Vinegar and baking soda in a small bowl.Fold into
batter.Bake at 350 for 30 min or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely.Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.

Cream butter and room temp cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar
1/2 C at a time mix until smooth each time.Mix in vanilla,beat for about
5 min until very smooth.
