2 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/3 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. canned pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. nuts, chopped
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Combine shortening and sugar. Add eggs, pumpkin, lemon extract and vanilla. Add first six ingredients. Mix well. Add nuts. Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon in separate bowl. Spoon dough onto a cookie sheet in teaspoon-size dollops. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake for 10 minutes or until done.
